Scott Howe - Principle

Scott brings extensive experience in executive management, leadership, and project delivery across local government, the private sector, and the not-for-profit sectors.

As a qualified risk management professional with over 10 years of expertise, he has successfully developed enterprise risk management programs, conducted comprehensive risk assessments, and created risk registers and business continuity plans.

Scott has overseen strategic, operational, and service delivery functions, with a proven track record of driving business transformation through strategic projects, process improvements, and innovative ICT solutions.

Scott brings over 30 years of experience in executive management, business operations, financial management, and project delivery across local government, the private sector, and community development.

Before joining Broken Hill City Council in 2016, Scott spent 15 years as a Commercial/Agri Business Banker with ANZ and Westpac in regional NSW and 12 years in small business and community development roles with State and Federal Government.

A graduate of the University of Western Australia and TAFE NSW, and accredited by the Risk Management Institute of Australasia, Scott has developed expertise in enterprise risk management, business operations, and WHS disciplines. His hands-on experience across the private and public sectors has honed his skills in managing businesses and mitigating enterprise risks.

At Broken Hill City Council, Scott led efforts to reduce enterprise risk, improve compliance, enhance operational processes, and increase risk awareness. He also facilitated the introduction of industry-leading technology, helping the council achieve recognition as an award-winning Enterprise Risk Management leader in NSW Local Government.

Scott is passionate about helping organisations build resilience and adopt a comprehensive approach to risk management, ensuring they are better equipped to protect and create value for the future.

Evidence of insurance coverage, including certificates of currency, is available upon request. This includes:

  • Public Liability Insurance – Minimum coverage of $20 million
  • Professional Indemnity Insurance – Coverage up to $2 million
